Request Lastest Zapping with record

I visited the Zapping tv app page the other day and they came out with a heavy new version with a lot of new features including recording. (Generaly I use my ati tv card as a DVR). I was thiking of waiting for a new version to come out in snaptic but from what I just read Its probably not going to come out so I am hoping it may be backported.

From what ive seen there seems to be scedualing and recording. I was thinking of downloading the source code but am worried about problems with tv card and sound config. I hope it may be backported or talk to someone who has already installed it so as to know if it would be ok.

Oh ya almost forgot. A big feature for me was the costom tuning of stations though the current version has it. In other tv apps the pic a bit grainly but in Zapping I choose global tuning and slid the bar a smidge and have buitiful picture. I would recomend Zapping to any one with a tv card tht is having problems setting it up with other tv apps. Now with recording my main use of my tv card as a DVR will be accomplished and if scedualing works its a suitable Linux replacement for ATI's windows TV app as It has just about all the features of the ATI app.

All Windows TV apps have a recording feature, so please put Zapping on the backports, about time Ubuntu users get a fully functional TV tuner program.

i need this, too.
the currently included version of zapping has a bug- "not enough buffers " when tuning.
please add the latest version.

and maybe some v4l patches?

Please get the newest zapping in BackPorts!! tvtime is only good for watching... but I want to record w/o booting into windows.

TV image and sound capture is simultaneous within Zapping. Image is delayed in the original Microsoft app that came with my TV capture board... :p The only thing that prevents mom to switch from MS to Ubuntu is that she cannot record from TV with the present Zapping package (0.9.2). So please hurry with the new releases!

Yes, please backport the latest Zapping version (0.9.6)! They've done some really nice improvements in deinterlacing methods... and of course a lot of bugs have been fixed.
