This is going on eBay at 5PM tomorrow if I get no response. Make me an offer if you want it! Even if you don't want it, maybe someone could give me an idea of how much it's worth?
MSI-1039 laptop. Very nice hardware, powerful for a laptop, works very well. Plays Half Life and Oblivion well, and plays F.E.A.R. pretty well, too. Excellent gaming machine -- basically a desktop in a laptop.
Specs:
2.2GHz AMD Turion MT-40 64-bit processor (L1 cache: 128K; L2 cache: 1MB)
256MB ATI x1600 graphics card
1GB Corsair RAM (only 1 slot is used, the other slot is still available if you want dual-channel)
WSXGA+ 15.4" LCD (1680x1050 resolution)
100GB Toshiba 5400RPM harddrive with 16MB cache
4 USB 2.0 ports
CD+-R/RW / DVD+-R/RW burner
Built-in ethernet port
Built-in 802.11B/G wireless
Built-in modem port
Built-in 1.3 megapixel digital camera
Built-in microphone
DVI out
S-Video out
PCMCIA slot
PCI Express slot
Line-in, microphone input, sound out ports
6-in-1 card reader (SD, MMC, MS, MS-PRO, XD, SM)
Includes the following (and it all works):
Battery
Targus case
Power cable/charger
The original drivers, software, and manual that originally came with the computer
General:
Battery life, because of the hardware is around 1h 45m because of the hardware that's in it.
Weights about 7 lbs total with battery
Does not come with an operating system installed -- the harddrive has been wiped totally clean.
The lid is a bit flimsy, so I've reinforced it with two inches of aluminum and plastic-metal JB Weld on both hinges.
It has general usage wear on some of the keys, but nothing bad at all. The palm rests have been covered with silver contact paper (included) due to finish wear. The left mouse button also has finish wear.
Overall, it's in excellent working condition. This is a great computer and a very good deal! I paid $1515, so you could certainly get a good deal.
I have run Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Ubuntu Dapper/Edgy/Feisty on this machine, and it has performed very well with each. The ATI card even worked well under Ubuntu with ATI's binary drivers. I am selling this because I got a Mac laptop and a desktop, and I only really need one laptop.
