[SOLVED] Test

I am trying to do some trouble shooting on my profile. It seems as if I can't get my pic to show next to my posts.

Just trying to figure this all out. I figured that this would be the best place to do this.

Sorry if I have annoyed anybody.

OK, so I open up my user control panel web page. I select the "Edit Profile Picture" link. The Edit Profile Picture page comes up.

I browse to where my pic is stored on my hard drive. I select the file to upload. The pic is 100 X 62 pixels, 6.3 KB. (Way under the max size of 100 by 100 pixels or 64.0 KB).

A thumb nail of said pic shows at the top of said Edit Profile Picture web page.

I select the "Save Changes" button.

Then I get a web page that says "Upload of file failed."

Anybody know what I am doing wrong?

Forgot to put this in. The pic is a JPEG, if that makes any difference at all.

Are you talking of an avatar?
For the file format, I'm not sure. I used a .png one.

For your avatar (appears left of your name on every post) go here: http://ubuntuforums.org/profile.php?do=editavatar
Then upload a picture using that tool of a maximum size of 90 by 90 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

Same for the Profile picture (appears on the right of member profile page, e.g. on here: http://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=43712 )
Go here: http://ubuntuforums.org/profile.php?do=editprofilepic and upload a picture with maximum size 100 by 100 pixels or 64.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

To answer your question, after reading PriceChild's post, yes, I guess that I am talking about an avatar. I want my pic to show up next to my nic.

Hmm... pic / nic! LOL! I guess I want to have a picnic! (Did you remember the mustard?)

OK, sorry! It is late and obviously I should try and get control of myself.

I will try what PriceChild said to do.

Thanks for replying! I did what you said to do. I went to the pages you specified and gave myself a profile pic and avatar pic.
