Yeah, current theme is just perfect, human color theme, gnome icons. Why would we need to change it?

I agree. It already seems like it is Ubuntu-ized fine.

Looking at the site ubuntu.com/ubuntulinux.org it doesn't really have a style. It has the same thingy as the forum on top of the pages but below that it is all black text on white background. The only exception is that the headlines are brown with a line under them.

So, uh... To make the forum look like that site, keep the thing on top and let the headlines be brown with a line under them. But make everything else black and white...

What did I miss? :-?

Erm... I couldn't get the zip (http://ubuntuforums.org/vb3gfx_instantmatte.zip).
Is it just me?

Never mind it's working now.

The goal is to fix some of the current issues with the style/theme on the forums. It doesn't match the main ubuntu site 100%.

If we don't get any contributions oh well :)

Plus this is more about choices isn't it? Some people don't like brown, maybe someone will make let's say a blue theme and they can change it via the drop down menu. The current style should remain the default, the others should be as options.

Perhaps the smilys could be a part of the style contest along with the rest of the look?

the smilies themselves are just fine (unless they're owned by MS? ), it's just that the links to include them in a post are broken, as well as several dupes

Isn't there any way for users to choose the style they want in control panel. I thinks its a good idea to implement this as it will satisfy many more!
