Hey keep you E-***** to yourself.

I have observed (IMHO) that Kubuntu is OVERALL better than XP. Althought the latest versions of Kubuntu require more work than older versions of Kubuntu(LTS). That is truly sad and embarrassing.

If you ask me, the "Games" trump card is irelavant. First of all, run XP in a dual boot for native Windows games; if you wish. Second, there are good native Linux representative games in every catagory given an $20 and up Nvidia card. Overall, gaming card setup and game installation are simplistic compared to XP which is often a special brand of geek challenge (and you XP gamers know it). Try TORCS and Open Arena with Kubuntu/Nvidia. ATI sucks. What should you then do? Replace your ATI card if you can or use anouther computer for gaming.

Being that we really want our computers to do many things, for one cost(time and money. Time more importantly.) Kubuntu wins in so many ways. It's also comparatively is secure to the unsecureable; time wasting, spy-ware eaten XP.

Vista has even worse hardware usability. Truth be told, this supposed great hardware compatibility of "Windows" only applies to the Win 98 (class) OS and old hardware. You REALLY do NOT want 98 on-line! XP loses some compatibility compared to many things that now work in Kubuntu(and/or other distros). Vista is a joke.

What one is wisest to do, is Google hardware compatibility for (say) Kubuntu.

In the now rare case that you are already saddled with a monopolistic piece of crap hardware, DO NOT beat your head against the wall and cry that Linux must not be ready for the "desktop", just replace it. Who wants hardware devices that are not open to any OS that you choose?

Even the "ndiswrapper" utility and working solution that allows you to actually use the XP driver in Linux is NOT as clean and trouble free as a device known to have ZERO CONFIGURATION with Kubuntu.

If you want to save time and money and promote competition (lower prices) then do yourself a favor, buy hardware (and systems) wisely. Reject systems that contain trip up devices, sponsored by Microsoft. Microsoft's dealings with hardware vendors is WELL documented.

Trying to make Ubuntu fail like Windows is an impossible task. U are right - Ubuntu Big E-***** - with a tight condom. Windows big E-Vagina; plenty of viruses and Spies been up in there with no protection.

imho this is a horrible post. You didn't do a real comparison. It felt bias. Possibly do a real comparison showing more highlights and downsides.
