I have Beryl setup with a "beryl-manager" command in my session startup config. For the most part, this works perfectly, but occasionaly, for some reason, it'll load Metacity instead of Beryl. This is fixed by simply selecting Beryl out of the drop menu...but is there something I can do to make sure it doesn't load metacity?

I thought about unchecking the "Launch Fall-back window manager if beryl crashes".... would that do it?

If your not having stability problems with beryl I think your right uncheck using metacity as a fall back.
I have it unchecked in the beryl settings manager too.
In other words uncheck the crash handler plugin.
That should prevent beryl dropping back to metacity.
Since I replaced a defective video card, beryl has run flawlessly and completely stable.
Its a great piece of code and very cool to use.
Its amazing how much Linux has advanced in the last couple of years.
