I am not sure if this topic have been brought up before.
With nearly 50,000 (and counting) applications s/w available for users to download, one does not know which ones are solid and good, and which others are just kaka, not worth the effort. Most often these poorly designed and written s/w end up messing up our systems.
I thought if we create a table containing the list of many of the most used Apps (for documents, Multimedia, Email, Instant messenger, Desktop Graphics, etc), with which we had good experience, and vote on, that really could help the rest of us with weeding out the bad ones from the good. Thus making ubuntu a better experience.
thanks
