a few pre-install questions?

I downloaded ubuntu 6.06, I want to know somethings before installation.

1. How do I get internet connection, I tried to install once before and it would never let me connect to the internet?



2. How do I uninstall if I do not like it an want to try another software?

6.06 is a rock solid release, it is a year old, but has support until 2009 on the Desktop, and 2011 on the server.
1. Depending on what kind of internet connection you have you may have to do some setup. Take a look here (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/InternetHowto)for the internet connection howto that may be able to help you.

2. Removing Ubuntu is possible, but it depends on how you installed it. If there is duel boot with windows, or if its installed by itself.

Is there a lunix OS that dosent require you to learn scripts to make things work, I am now very good with typing in commands.
