The Simple Linux Backup project (http://simplelinuxbkup.sourceforge.net/) announces the release of version 0.3.3. Simple Linux Backup is an easy-to-use program for backing up a desktop Linux system, with a friendly user interface. It was recently featured in Issue 92 of Linux Format magazine (http://simplelinuxbkup.sourceforge.net/LXF92.tut_begin.pdf).

This is a development release; it is still undergoing testing and may not be completely stable. It contains several bug fixes and minor enhancements, including:
Simple Linux Backup now tracks when the last full backup was performed for each backup set, and performs a full backup whenever the previous one occurred more than 7 days ago.
A new x86 64-bit version is available. This version has been tested on an AMD64 processor; testers are needed for Intel 64-bit processors.
Fixed a problem in the Simple Backup Configuration Program (SBCP) startup script, simplebackupconfig. The script sometimes did not correctly determine the real directory in which it was running, causing failures in starting SBCP.For more information on the project, see the project home page (http://simplelinuxbkup.sourceforge.net/). You can download the program from the SourceForge.net download page (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=170555).

I'd like to try the 64-bit version. I downloaded and extracted it, but I can't find any documentation. How do I run it?

The documentation is all at the website, http://simplelinuxbkup.sourceforge.net/. All you have to do is run the "simplebackupconfig" script; from the directory where you installed it, just type "./simplebackupconfig" to run the GUI.
