I find that the Ubuntu package site (http://packages.ubuntu.com/) is often a good place to look. But a search reveals there is no file named like that in any package, going all the way back to Warty Warthog.

Apologies for being vague on the need for this library.
I also could not find anything about this 'goto' library ... I did search in vain before posting.
A certain program package (G03) based on quantum mechanical formalism apparently has need for this :
user@pep:242 ~>g03
g03: error while loading shared libraries: /lib64/libgoto-amd64.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Not sure what other details I can post regarding this ...

Probably will be a google search quest of adventure and hope and wonder.
