Getting FlightGear to run

I installed FlightGear through synaptic and I can't figure out how to get it running. All the files for the game seem to be in place, but I can't find any way to launch it.

FlightGear unfortunately does not install .desktop file, which is necessary for the new menu in Hoary.

Thus go to Applicastions-->Run Application and type flightgear or maybe flight-gear. It should start.
