Okay here my my problem:
I installed CSS and DOD on my system and start um up and they are like lag shooters.... like really how slow can it get... I'm using Wine... and when I start them up they always go to smallest resolution.. If this is a plug'n play OS... why do I have these problems... I have a radeon 9550 and an AMD 1.8 processor... 1gb ddr.... do I need some kind of driver, if so could you provide a link?

are the wine settings maximized for the games? They might need different setups, which could affect the performance of the game.

Do you have Beryl or Compiz running in the background? If so you need to disable them because they make games near impossible to play.

Have you installed the fgrlx driver aka "ATI accelerated graphics driver"

If you haven't do this:

Open the restricted drivers manager included in 7.04 "System -> Administration -> Restricted Drivers Manager" and select "ATI accelerated graphics driver".
