How's the performance on Steam games such as CounterStrike Source running in Ubuntu?
I have the Feisty version. FPS numbers would be helpful...

Not as good as windows; basically - but I am somewhere around 55-80fps.

See that's what I'm worried about. I'm dual booting my PC with XP just because of Steam. My performance on Ubuntu sucks so bad, and I play surf maps on CounterStrike source, and it's pretty much impossible to play with such low fps... I was wondering if anyone had a resolution to this...?

In game my FPS is between 40 and 120, for an average FPS of 60.

What is your hardware configuration and what is the wine version you are using, also tell us which directx mode you are using (if you don't know then there's something to do there) ?
