Ok so i play this game Tremulous, but when i start playing, i cant move and use mouse at same time!?!?1/
Like i can move, i can move mouse, just not at same time. I run ubuntu on an Ibook G4 laptop with a Radeon 9550 graphics card.
Anyone know the problem?
Its the same problem with the other games like OpenArena, and other fps's.

i have the same problem on my first gen black macbook, running feisty. i play tons in os x and it works fine. in ubuntu though, when a key is being pressed (like wasd for movement) the mouse doesn't adjust perspective in time, it seems like your perspective does change according to the mouse movement, but the display doesn't change until a second or two after you move the mouse. anyone have ideas?

just figured out it works fine when i try using only my trackpad and keyboard. when i plug in a usb mouse, i can't use the keys and mouse at the same time without the delay. and i get input from both simultaneously ok in other programs, so i think this is a tremulous issue. don't have any idea what to do about it though.

ok, further information. i actually don't get simultaneous input from the mouse and keyboard in other programs. here is the real issue: when holding down a key on the keyboard, mouse pointer sticks where it is. if you move the mouse, the pointer stays still on the screen as long as the key is held down. once you release the key, the pointer catches up to where ever you moved it to on the screen. this is exactly the problem in tremulous, and it looks like an xorg problem. i'll post back if i find a solution.
i posted about this in the general help forum: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=503373
