I do. I'd love to see linux going after the gamer market.

At GDC, yes. At E3, no. Do you really think an aircraft hanger full of gamers is going to be interested in Ubuntu over MGS4 and Killzone 2?
It would be better to target shows aimed at developers, like GDC, rather than those for the press.

Actually, E3 isn't around anymore. They shut down like a year ago.

its basically shut down, they dont let the public in anymore. its invite only.
and since its invite only, it would get almost no show time....

ok no. It's never been shut down.

and no.
It's closed to the public, not the press. That was to make it a more effective show(according to them). But if ubuntu made an appearance it would get showtime as long as they got the press to pay attention to it. This show is not simply about consumers, but industry. Getting developers and consumers to pay attention to linux could be a huge step in a good direction.
They have a whole games for windows section. I'd like to see a games for linux.

That's probably a good point, but I think it's good to get exposure at both. Get people aware of what linux is possible of. If you don't get consumers excited about it and trying it, developers aren't going to develop for it.

No. Most popular games do not run on Ubuntu. And wine isn't very reliable. FreeDOS could though. It plays many old games.

Yup, I'm sure Keen Commander, Dave and The Incredible Machine will get all those games around the Linux stand :P
To the topic question : No. Save us the embarassment.
