I have the .mpg file from the video recorder. I'm using Ubuntu 6.10 and K3b Program.
I have some problem because I cannot find for DVD movie for burn . I found only the DVD data.
I want to make my movie to DVD movie that can play on the DVD player or home theater.
How to make a DVD movie on Ubuntu 6.10 ? or some way that you can on the FOSS.

Open K3b, and click on the bar labelled "Further Actions" BELOW the standard burn options (DVD data, DVD image, etc).
This will open a menu of ALL the types of disc K3b can make. DVD Video is 7th down from the top (on my copy, anyway).

NB. You MAY need to re-encode the .mpg file to be DVD-compatible first. For this I recommend Avidemux, which has an "Auto" menu for doing this.
