So I just really got into Linux (played around before but never set anything up on my primary box to be used almost as much as Windows) and was thinking about setting up an HTPC with Linux.
Right now I'm running it with Windows XP (not MCE) and things are going well, but there has to be something cool I can do by running Linux.
Here are my primary concerns:
1. Works with wirless keyboard and mouse
2. Works with external HDD
3. Can possibly play iTunes Music without me having to strip the DRM
4. Can play movies and all Codecs without a problem
5. Cant think of much else now (need to get back to work) but I'm sure you all get the picture.
I read about MythTV and it seems cool, has anyone tried it? I heard Gentoo was good for HTPC too, anyone?
I know that you can set up MCE type shells on any distro of Linux; but what makes one better than the other for this specific purpose?
