I bought PCformat after I saw that they were had a dvd with openSUSE. I had ordered ubuntu previously a nd the day after i bought the PCformat, I got a note from the post office saying i have an international package and that i should bring R12 for custom fees. I ddecided tyo try the linux that was started by a South African first. I was happy... this is my review ( sort of).
after trying to find some progam that i could download and use to play my music and videos, which is mostly what i use my PC for i decided to go to openSUSE because i was told it comes with the codecs (whatever that is) to play music and videos.
yeah openSUSE played my mp3 but it was excrutiatingly slow and it did not play my cds and videos and It was not as fun as ubuntu. I couldnt change the colour of the windows the first time I tried to install it it didnt install and i tried five or six times. I paid R50 for openSUSE with no option to upgrade I paid R12 for Ubuntu. The login sound was not as good as that of ubuntu, i prefer the Human colour of Ubuntu and I got free stickers with ubuntu. i couldnt install anything on ubuntu, i didnt try on openSUSE.
