Hey, i'm a 17 year old teenager that moved out with a couple friends for the summer before my mission to college, and i would have to say it's been one of the best experiences of my life. I also am exposing them to the linux way of things and ubuntu. So, I decided to make a thread about your first experiences away from home. Post your thoughts!

You should enjoy that you went that way. When I was 17 I got kicked out of my house when they found 3 Kilos of cocaine in my room that wasn't mine and accused me of trafficking. It wasn't exactly true. But that's not what's important. All I can say is to enjoy the times with your friends and all the freedom that comes with it. ;) and have as many parties as possible.

ouch, thats harsh....

anyway, im determined not to be like the stereotypical geek, living with my parents when im 30 :P

and all they did was kick you out?!
i would have been turned over to the cops and locked away for a loong time!

hmm yea im 17 and in an appartment although it is only for the summer as i still have 1year left of hs lol. its nice man, for some reason we end up going for milkshakes at 2am.... then playing halo till dawn but meh w/e lol

Playing halo happens lots in this house, along with going down to the shell to steal ****... man it's the life.

It was seriously messed up like that. And it was the kind of thing that you get out or then the legal issues persue. The fact that milkshakes at 3am came up is funny because I just did that with the kid I'm staying with up in nyc right now. We were like... I'm thirsty...me too...lets go to the diner. And we were off. And playing Halo until early in the morning is the best. Multiplayer is addictive man. :D
