Soya 3D engine

Description :- Soya 3D is an object oriented "high level" 3D engine for Python. Somehow, Soya is to 3D what Python is to programming: an 'avant guarde' 3D engine, a kind of 'UFO' in the 3D world :-). Soya allows to develop very rapidly games of other 3D apps, entirely in the Python language (contrary to most of the other engine, in which Python is limited to scripting tasks).

Moreover, Soya is easy to learn and offers pretty good performances.

Soya is used successfully in 3D games, but also in demos, scientific simulations, or educational programs (see application using Soya for screenshots).

Soya offers the features one can expect from a 3D engine, like basic scene management, cell-shading, shadows, particles systems,... as well as some unique features aiming at making 3D development easier and more rapid (see Soya's feature).

Soya is Free Software, under the GNU GPL. Soya is written in Pyrex (a mix of C and Python) and in Python.

Soya is to 3D what Python is to programming #-o

Either way, no place for libraries was this thread?

1. There's a lot of broken links in your list. It looks like you have trawled the allegro games list and copied in anything you thought looked interesting but not actually followed through on each game. Some of those games have been dead for years, and some are so simple that they are just not actually any good. Several 48hour programming competition games in there.

2. Really this place, the forums, is the worst place to organise something like this. Do what I did, register your own site and do it properly.

I disagree, I think this is a good place to post this topic.
I mean, it's a linux forum on a gaming sub board?, why wouldn't a list be handy?

I'd even say sticky it but that's not my choice,

EDIT:: A suggestion:
Why not make a "In development list?"

Dean.

How did spam manage to creep into the list!??

From OP:
Ant Land :- cash loan las vegas condo at sp00fed.net

Ends up at one of those lame mirror sites.

Link removed. I'm sure this was probably a copy and paste mistake
on the part of the OP or from a list he used.

Dark Guy is not the first and won't be the last to try to do this and it'll get buried like the rest because, at the end of the day, forum admins don't want to be responsible for dead lists that they have stickied, especially when there are existing resources like Ubuntu Gamers Arena which are officially affiliated with the Ubuntu Games forum.

I'm not saying, "don't do this." Do it, but make your own page outside of this place. Use here as a medium for collecting information. This is advice.

Of course, the dead links I'm not very enamoured with. A lot of links in that list need checking out and, since I have my own site to tend to, I'm not going back through them to tell you which ones.

Hmm that's cool that you have found Raj Horizon, but Raj Horizon is still only an alpha client to the second version of Project Diaspora, which is also available at http://www.nighsoft.net .
