Im running the 64 bit Ubuntu OS.

i installed ut2k4 retail with no probs all is running fine.

I tried to instal the 3323 patch for linux, firstly i wasnt sure if it was the right [patch for AMD64 or not. But anyway i installed it with the ut2k4-patch script and basicly ut2k4 seased to work with no error prompts or anything.

So i rolled the patch back using the same script. And all is once again fine, though i still dont know how to patch ut2k4.

I presume i can just go from retail -> patch3323 -> ece bonus pack -> patch3355?

Are there anymore patches im not aware of, that i need to install?
Or should i just follow this list of patches:
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/ut2004/downloads.htm

Also what the deal with compiling

Cheers

I'm on 2.6.10-5-686 (32 bit) but had no problems patching UT2k4. Despite what you may read (I've seen people write on various sites you have to patch to 3323 first also) it's not necessary to patch before installing the ECE.

Just follow this path:

Retail -> Copy over ECE -> Copy over 3355

It works and I can join 3355 servers so I know the patch is valid.

why dont you just install the 3355 patch ?, all you have to do is extract and move it to the ut2k4 folder.
