To get the exact answer you need to know how many watts your monitor and tower are rated at. Just like the link, take the 2.5A multiplied by the 115 volts and that will give you 287.5 watts an hour. Multiply by the 720 hours in a month for 207,000 watt hours a month, or 207 kilowatt hours, then multiply by the average cost per kwh, which is generally 8-12 cents US$, or say $20.70 at 10 cents an hour, if you pay less for electricity it will be less, or if your watts come out lower it will be cheaper.

it depends entirely on how much power your computer draws

What if my desktop uses 250W?
Could you calculate it except monitor...?

a 250W PSU is what its maximum rating is, doesnt neccesarily mean it drawing that. but if thats what it is drawing, well use that in the calculation. well assume you pay $.10/kWh so we take 0.250 kW (250W) and multiply it by the cost per kWh, .10
0.250x0.10=0.025
so, that costs you 2 and a half cents per hour. multiply that by 24 and you get 60 cents per day

it depends on a lot of stuff.. last month my mom wanted to kill me..

we usually use 300kw/month but last month i was so exited with my new high end power supply.. that left my duron 1.6ghz @ 2.3ghz with 1.8v vcore running 24/7 the entire month...

result: it added 50kw in the bill :roll:

my mom was pissed.. i said that it wasnt the computer.. but she didnt believe me.. now my duron is @ 1.6ghz with 1.5vcore to compensate for last month http://ubuntuforums.org/images/smilies/eusa_whistle.gif
