Can anyone tell me if there is a way I can request that the latest versions of mono and monodevelop are backported into Feisty? The latest versions in Feisty seem to be:

monodevelop: 0.12
mono: 1.2.3.1

whereas the latest stable versions are:

monodevelop: 0.14
mono: 1.2.4

I've seen a couple of other posts talking about installing the latest versions from source so I'm sure I'm not the only person that would like to see the new versions in the official repositories.

Thanks H3HI, I came here with same question. This package seems to work fine and 1.4 appears much more stable, especially the GUI designer, so why can't this go into the repositories?

Ditto. Can someone please advise on how we can either install monodevelop 0.14 ourselves, or get it onto the repositories?
