Has anyone tried to see the difference (if any) in battery life between 32 bit and 64 bit ?

1) For AMD64 Turion
2) For Intel 64 bit CPU (I am not familiar with Intel CPUs any more)

And what are the ways one can keep battery life long ? Now please do not suggest
the obvious ones as lowering display brightness or not using Beryl.

there shouldn't be any difference. if the process load is identical it will have the same drain.

If you can, undervolting and under clocking the CPU slightly can squeeze a few minutes out of the battery as it won't get as hot and the fan won't run as often. running off a flash drive can also provide a slightly longer battery life.

disabling as much as possible will also save a bit of energy.
