ok so its been some time since I used ubuntu last work programs work in that other os only .
Anyway got another hd to play with so giving it a go again .
heres the problem beryl doesnt work yes I am using ati resricted drivers flgx info is correct
so I thought id give compiz a go used the guide to instaling compiz fusion from the ubuntu forums no go
this is the error i get
Fatal: Failed test: texture_from_pixmap support
Checks indicate that it's impossible to start compiz on your system.
any help would be great
