I would like to install http://www.nongnu.org/gcmd/ since I used to using Total Commander for Win. I've downloaded but I'm afraid it's over my head to figures this out. Is there a way to add this location to synaptic and let it do the work? Probably not, but hey... I had to ask, I prolly won't get it installed otherwise...

Gnome commander is in the universe repository already
sudo apt-get install gnome-commander
should install it.
