I like to try out new programs on Linux , but I get a lot of segfaults when running several applications on my 64-bit installation of Feisty. This happened when using the beID-tools, but in the past I've hade troubles with quite a few programs.
As I see it, this problem is 64-bit specific (not the seg fault in general, but the occurance of these faults on my system and perhaps also on other 64-bit systems).
Is there a generic solution for this problem, as I couldn't find one? Could someone explain how this problem can be solved (or why this can't be solved yet).
My first approach will be trying to compile those sources, if it works, I will let everybody know (but the belpic packages is in the ubuntu repository, so compilation shouldn't be the issue I guess)...
