Hi everyone,
I've been battling to get beryl working since upgrading to feisty x64 in april. Never got it to work, only got the base features of compiz (ie wobbly windows and fancy app switcher... no cube or any other cool stuff). I just installed the 32-bit and ran the automatic beryl install script from the now defunct beryl-project and it worked no problem. Installed the extra niceness and got compiz fusion working too... No problem (it wouldn't work when I tried last night on the 64 bit).
So I guess my question is what's up with 64-bit?
Also, does anyone know if these problems will get fixed in the next distro since it looks like compiz is gonna actually ship with it already enabled?
