It's a feature in Beryl I believe, you can choose what effects it does when you close a Window, my friend has it running on his Sabayon Linux laptop it's pretty sick. :p

Right click Beryl manager icon and you will find that you can edit everything from window decorator to which manager to select. There is a Beryl confiuration tool that has more adjustments than you can poke a stick at. You get pretty bored with the fizz quickly but the thumbnail feature is the most useful feature for me.

The eyecandy is great for dropping the jaws on the win$oze users though!

Cheers

Yeah, that effect is pretty sick, I also like the "shatter" one.

Sure, if you'd like to say it that way, the Ubuntu community is filled with knowledge in different areas, so the Ubuntu community knows a lot. :)

Depends on the game.

Look here for info : winehq appbd (http://appdb.winehq.org/) ; search for your game via the gray box on the left.

For help with wine see here : http://doc.gwos.org/index.php/HowToWine

And of course, this is the defacto classic reference : http://gaming.gwos.org/news.php
