View Full Version : Need Help intalling ubuntu feisty on Macbook Pro 15"

i want to intall feisty on my macbook pro 15"

1. im using boot camp and refit for triple boot
2. i partitionated my hd into 3 partitions one for macOSx, windows vista and feisty
3. i have install in my mac only macOSx and windows vista
4. when i trie run the live cd it gives mi an erron with the xorg file and i cant load the graphical environment for
loggin.

if some one knows how to fix this help me pleace. thanks :(

Check the link in my sig concerning the X failure. As for your triple boot set up, how did you use Boot Camp and rEFIt? As I understood it, Boot Camp could only create one additional partition, not two.

where can i get the alternate install CD and how can i install ubuntu in text mode thanks :)

Try here: http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/downloadmirrors

The alternate installer CD has no GUI and so the installation process will be in text mode. Remember to install the fglrx driver (see my sig) if you have the ATI graphics card (pre-Santa Rosa MBP).
