root password in gnome

Hello
I was entered gnome as user and I want to use administration tools ,when I click network ( as example ) , an windows appeared and asking me the root Password - when I entered the password there is message ( login frailer ) , BUT I REALEY SURE ABUT MY PASSWORD
What is the problem?

I am not sure which password you are entering when you say root password, but you are supposed to enter your own, user password considering you are on the sudoers list (if you are the first user created on Ubuntu, you are).
