I have a C2D MacBook running Feisty, and I am also using a custom kernel 2.6.21.5 which I compiled myself using instructions available elsewhere in this forum. Everything is working perfectly, except the built-in microphone. Does anyone here managed to get it working? It is really annoying me having to reboot to MacOS just to use Skype.

Thanks in advance! :D

This is also something that interests me, although I've spent very little time troubleshooting it. I'll give it a bump now in case it catches anyone else's eye, but may we may just have to add to this thread over time, with tips and tricks.

Hi Laerte,

I have the same problem and after spent 2 months in triyng to make it work I completely gave up. I've read something about microphone problems in Accer (snd-hda-intel) in Allan Garcia's Blog (http://www.jornaldojerimum.com.br/2007/10/27/como-instalar-a-placa-de-som-da-intel-snd-hda-intel-no-ubuntu-710-gutsy/) (in portuguese :) for us... :() I haven't try it yet, but maybe we got it!
