Video Settings in Call of Duty 2 Through Wine.

Yes, I've gotten it installed, and the gameplay is great! Just one more gripe, and I should have this covered: The video quality stinks! Bilinear instead of Anisotropic, no World Effects, and low Textures. I'm not afraid of the console (it's my friend, I've known this for a long time and I've made peace with that fact ever since I heard about the lawsuit brought against M$ because of the WGA authentication tool introduced to XP, not just Vista!)

So, as I stated above, I have no qualms with editing some config files (I've got no idea how to do it, I saw a thread related to fixing graphics problems in Halo, but this is Call of Duty 2 - I'll have to get Halo up and running later. ;) ) Got anything for me? :popcorn:

sorry i cant help u with ur problem but did u get punkbuster to work so u can play online? ive herd that it wont work with wine so i never tryed to install cod2 because of that

From what I've read in forums and support organizations, CoD2 works with 1.0 and patched 1.3, and 1.0 doesn't have punkbuster. If you use 1.3, as long as the server doesn't have punkbuster, it will run fine online. I've already played on my favorite servers on Linux, my video is just crappy. ;)
