WoP(World of Padman), gives a black screen

I just tried running WoP(World of Padman) and it only displayed a black screen. I could hear the game sounds so I'm thinking it has something to do with the display. I'm running Dapper with a Toshiba Satellite A105 S4284 laptop. Any help?

Well, I partially had gotten the game to work. I was able to somehow get the game into window mode which made it display but I was in the menu of the game not the game itself. Stupid me, I didn't change the option about booting and playing in a window opposed to fullscreen when I had the chance and so when I tried playing it it tried playing it in fullscreen and basically sent me back to square one with the black screen problem. This is very aggravating... Oh, another detail, when I somehow placed it in to window mode it didn't right away correct it. I had to press lots of different butons and such... of which I can't remember.
