I Recently purchased a logitech precision gamepad for about 10$. came home and tried to use it with zsnes... no luck. after some digging at sourceforge.net i found a lovely program called rejoystick
that can be used to remap the keys on the joystick to keystrokes.

you can download it at http://superb-east.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/rejoystick/rejoystick_0.3.3-1_i386.deb

then open a terminal and type rejoystick and follow the instructions. (i just remapped the d-pad because the rest of the buttons worked fine)

I hope this helps!

How cool! I'd been having trouble with the input plugins for epsx, now I can finally use my Logitch Precision gamepad and play playstation games :)

I didn't see a 64 bit package but so I had to install it from source.

I also had to install 2 new dependencies while it was installing:

libgtk2.0-dev
libxtst-dev

Just follow the directions in the makefile and it should install fine.
