Call of Duty Server

Hi!

(i am new to linux, ubuntu and this forum)

I have a question...

I try to start a Call of Duty Server, so after searching on google, i came across this file:

I followd intructions, but when i try to run the app... this happends...

it says it runs, but sleeping?
No console or something similar starts..
What am i doing wrong?

Systemspecs: PIII 900mhz, ubuntu 5.04. 16 mb Vid Card (Riva TNT2) 512 MB DRAM.

What do you expect to happen? It's a server, not client software. It runs in the background so you can host games. From what you're telling me it works as it's supposed to.

It says in the manual

Well, you have to start a map before anyone can connect and play. I've never started a COD server, nor have I even played it. Google around for tutorials.

well to start the map you have to type in console:

/map mp_toujane

or

/map mp_carentan

...

Maybe this is not enough... than you should choos the gametype:

/g_gametype sd

or

/g_gametype dm
