My glibc is apparently out dated. Where would I find it so I can switch it out for the newer version?

If you're refering to the GNU C standard libraries package, I would highly suggest you do not upgrade it. It's one of one of the most important packages on any distro, providing standard C libraries used by _almost_ all C programs on the system. To upgrade would mean a high chance of breakage.

I wanted to do this on slax.

Yeah, I knew that I couldn't switch it out during a session, because it would cause sleep to fail, causing other things to fail. After I did switch it out, slax did not boot, I guess I will need to get the newer version. The newer version has problems though, so I will start a new thread for those.
