Hi everyone! Lately, have come across a new distro named Uberyl. It is based on ubuntu and come with alot of software preinstalled, including Envy, game console emulators, and alot more. It also comes with Beryl preinstalled. The distro originates from Spain. Here is the link: http://pollolinux.blogia.com/
Has anyone given it a try? Or is anyone going to?
Cheers, izizzle

No, he means that both Beryl and Automatix come preinstalled, not that Beryl comes with Automatix.

Yes. Its easily installed without much effort, long as you have your drivers.
As for uberyl... bleh. I stick with the main Ubuntu, there are so many variants its too much. I just don't see why I need to have all that extra stuff preinstalled if I'll never use it. I install everything I need.

Same with me. I tried it, too much preinstalled software. I mean seriously, do I really need YouTranslate?
BTW, the two bars on the gnome desktop are not very attractive in Uberyl.
The developer (note I used it in its single form) tried to give it a stainless steel look, but failed.

Is Uberyl based on Ubuntu, or Is it just a Ubuntu distro with more software at the ready...anything this can do that I cant to with my Feisty?

It's basically a customized remaster of Edgy. Didn't work on my computer. Wouldn't detect my keyboard:o

It is just another (weak) distro based on Ubuntu, with too much software preinstalled, and an ugly look.

uberyl rocks , i have an ati card , i never managed to make beryl run on ati , with uberyl it works right out of the box
even in the live cd , not that the other programs it brings like avant , envy and such are hard to install but beryl is expecially on ati cards , i recommend it

Whise, Are you going to use uberyl as your main distro?
