iBook G3 800 12.1" dual USB

I have no sound on my iBook. New 5.04 PPC install. The list indicates this might be an insurmountable problem.

Has anyone gotten this to work, or do I go to Yellow Dog and save the fuss and bother?

You should try to look for a solution. Otherwise you'll be jumping from distro to distro when a problem arises. What list are you talking about.

I have the same iBook with Hoary, and sound works fine. Are you using OSS or ALSA?
