I found an old copy of Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I copied it to my Ubuntu machine over the Windows network.
I had Wine installed, so I ran wine WolfSP.exe and the game started.
I mean what the hell? Is this a game running with no problems in Linux?
Admittedly the audio has a slight lag & the intro music stutters...but the game...works....normal.
I am stunned.

Interesting! I had audio problems with the NATIVE binaries. I fixed them but it's definitely impressive you got it working flawlessly. Hell yeah, WINE! Good game that, I like that it stayed true to the Wolfenstein feel but now in 3D. However, I'm more into Quake4 type games now with REALLY immersive worlds... and PadMan.

You do know there's native binaries for this game right? Just checking. ^_^

Yeah but its too confusing figuring out what patches to download. I think its impressive that the Windows binaries are working. And Half Life 2!

Padman is the best Linux game now imo. :p
