There seems to be an issue with the sound while running quake3 natively on Linux, i run the game, it starts up perfectly, however ... there is absolutley no sound. Ive looked around for methods to fixing this, but i have not prevailed. This is the audio part of the output that quake3 generates, please tell me what i can do to fix this problem ... I tried one method that brought the sound back, but the quality was TERRIBLE, so ... yeah, this is my last shot at trying to fix this.

I have this exact same issue with an Audigy SE (CA0106 based)

Does this chip just not have hardware mixing??? Did I just waste $30 on this thing? My old SB Live Value worked flawlessly.
