..I've got two questions.
First, does it has some kind of music I'm not hearing? because the Windows version does have but on Linux I'm only hearing the sound effects. Any logical explanation for that?
Also, although not really that common, it's been closing by itself recently. It happened when I was listening to music, so could it have somehow crashed because of Amarok or something?
Oh and also, everyone should be playing this. My computer has almost no RAM to enjoy all the graphic-heavy games, but this, ZSNES and pSX are more than enough for all my awesome gaming needs :D

No music on the one I'm playing.

Mine crashes when listening to music (Beep Music Player), so I turn off the player before playing Grid Wars 2.
Oh and also, everyone should be playing this.
Fun, isn't it? I only just discovered it the other night.

Same on this end with no music. If you really want to listen to your own music while playing any remotely CPU-intensive games, my suggestion would be opening an Xterm (run command: xterm) and just using MPlayer, as that's going to leave much more resources for whatever game you're playing.

Hmmm....
I also have no music but there are definately 3 music files in the games directory. I don't know where to go from there though. The sound effects are fine but not the music.
Anyone got any ideas?

But is it really because of the CPU? I don't really think Grid Wars is that CPU-heavy... Anyway, I'll try that out, thanks.

Hm, I tried it out, but it crashes on launch giving me this error:
appstub.linux signal handler 11
Any ideas?

Matters not to me. I always turn off in-game music anyway. And I'm concentrating when playing, so I don't want any music.

It would be nice to hear the music though, the songs sound quite well made and could imrprove the game's atmosphere.
I wonder if the music works on Linux at all since none of you got it either

I also don't have music. The game randomly crashes if I have music running in the background.
