I put together a splash screen for Grub. It's what you would assume from the title. I thought someone else might want it as well.

Here's a how-to for setting up a Grub splash screen:

How to give yourself a grub splash screen of your choice (http://www.arsgeek.com/?p=470)

You'll probably want to change the text colors inorder to read the menu better.

Add these lines to /boot/grub/menu.lst with a HEX-Colorcode instead of RRGGBB.

foreground RRGGBB
background RRGGBB

That is slick!

I didn't know that sort of thing could be done...you've inspired me to do my own. Gonna tweak it more to my laptop, so it says Vista Ultimate, and XPS, and maybe a Core 2 logo in the corner.
