download the one for fc3 ( http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/mplayerplug-in/mplayerplug-in-2.80-1.FC3.i386.rpm )

sudo alien mplayerplug-in-2.80-1.FC3.i386.rpm

then u get a .deb

sudo dpkg -i mplayerplug-in_2.80-2_i386.deb

and u will have a mplayer plugin that works.

this what i had do make work, the one i got from aptget never worked for me. hopefuly ya can get the same results as me

i forgot to say that to say that i drag mplayerplug-in.so to from /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/ to /home/yourusername/.mozilla/plugins any question or comments let me know

Just to say
if the aim is to have movies in your explorers mplayer is good
But if you wish to get full screen movies rather prefer Kaffeine or totem you can adjust your screenplays at the size you like.

(unless I missed a config somewhere)
