Hello,
For those interested in high-punch low-end Linuxes, Puppy Linux is a super choice. I have written article about it, going into details about some if its many merits.

Puppy has messed up almost every computer I run it on. Internet problems on my laptop, CD drive problems on my father's computer, and my friend's computer doesn't even turn on. All of these happened right after puppy was booted.

Hello,
I find it highly unlikely that a live CD would do that.
What more, I have tried it on at least 5 different computers, without a hitch.

I doesn't make sense, but it happened. Maybe it was just a coincidence.

the puppy live-cd won't change any settings on your harddrive, you don't even need a hard drive, it loads straight into ram and works from there. i've got it installed on a flash drive and never had any problems with it.
Dedoimedo, nice review, comprehensive, though you should maybe update it, puppy 2.17 is out now,
