I have been watching the following thread for a while.
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=276194

I was toying around with some dhtml scripts and I decided to put this simple little "Ubuntu Avatar Builder" together. It is very basic, but fun to play with.

Hope you enjoy!

Looks interesting. You should fix the avatar link in your post, however (add http://)

This is pretty nice. Played with it a bit. Now maybe I'll download one and use it in a couple places. Thank you.

This is a cool little script you made. Just out of curiosity how long did it take you to set this up?
Side Note: I think Avatars in Ubuntu would be sweet ;)

It took a few hours. I used the graphics from the avatar thread mentioned above. I used dhtml scripts from http://www.dynamicdrive.com. The most time consuming part was simply putting it all together.

It is amazing what you can do with Inkscape, GIMP, http://www.dynamicdrive.com, and gedit! :)

I have made a few updates to the "Ubuntu Avatar Builder" (http://www.ubuntuavatar.whatwouldjesusdownload.com/). I added some of the graphical updates provided by "Locke Dragon".

Thanks, Jereme
