Beryl - Multi Desktop problem

Hi I have a problem with Beryl-

It's been fine so far but about a week or two ago it just developed a problem---- every time I switch from desktop one all I get is a black desktop on desktops 2,3 and four ----no wall paper just some icons, but no anuimations work and occasionally it all just sticks so I have to restart Xserver???

Any one got some help?/

ok fixed the problem by completly uninstalling beryl then reinstalled it ------- I'm using Beryl-shame but now I can't access the Beryl Manager??????

Anyone got help with that?
