Hi
I am new linux user and need some help with Beryl. I have installed it but sadly, have no clue on how to use it. I looked in the shortcuts, changed them around, however i am not getting any effects or whatnot. For the window manager i have tried to change it to beryl but it automatically goes back to metacity (if that has any connection with what i am trying to go). can you please help out.
Thx

What hardware are you running this on? If you're using an Nvidia card, I believe you should be using AIGLX, but an ATI needs an XGL session. Beryl won't function properly without these conditions.

Im new to Linux too and I installed Beryl as well, I found it in applications/system tools/beryl manager. I installed a 'Beryl settings manager' as well, using this I customise the effects. I used a program called 'add/remove applications' to install beryl, what did you use?
The only problem I have now is new I boot up Linux I have no frame on my windows and I have to manualy start up Beryl everytime

Hello,
What graphic card do you have? What driver did you install for it?
