Try as I might, I cannot get Avant to run on my computer. Does it not work w/ GeForce4 MX 440? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have tried off and on for several weeks now.

You need Compiz/Beryl to run it.

I know, have both. Any other steps? Is there a plugin I need for Beryl?
Edi: I did yet another search for instructions, and the one I found here (http://www.simplehelp.net/2007/05/31/how-to-install-setup-and-use-avant-window-navigator-awn-in-ubuntu-feisty/) worked for some arcane reason.

When I go to save my sources.list file, I get an error: "could not save file ..........." "unexpected error: File not found"
I am copying directly from the webpage:
deb http://download.tuxfamily.org/syzygy42 feisty avant-window-navigator
deb-src http://download.tuxfamily.org/syzygy42 feisty avant-window-navigator
what am I doing wrong?

OK, I just skipped adding the files to the sources.list file, and it works.
