also when I try to run emerald on terminal here what I get,
emerald: Could not acquire decoration manager selection on screen 0 display ":0.0"

and I have also tried apt-get remove emerald, apt-get clean and apt-get install emerald, and that did nothing. if there is some one using beryl and emerald on VX2-AK018G before and got it working, your help will be much appreciated, and any one can help fix this will also be very much appreciated.

On another topic, my sound don't work too, I never had to trouble shoot sound before on my Desktop for linux, so I have no idea what to do, is using Built-in High Definition Audio compliant audio chip.

thank you ahead

I don't believe Emerald is your problem. From what I understand, Emerald is just a theme manager for Beryl. What I suggest you do is through the Beryl Manager, reload beryl as the window decorator.

when I run emerald in terminal I get the following
emerald: Could not acquire decoration manager selection on screen 0 display ":0.0"
